The Alter Ego Project
I have an alter ego. You probably do too. The Alter Ego Project applies design methods and processes to develop one’s own personas. Alter egos are a lightweight way to learn more about yourself, to grow into who you want to be, and are a powerful mindfulness tool.
Individual programs and group workshops available.

Thinking Partner
Does your business need a good friend? Do you? A thinking partner provides expertise, guidance, a reliable and consistent sounding board, and someone to hold you accountable to your ideas and vision. Niman Design is like the best friend for your business. Spinach in your teeth? We’ll tell you. Overdressed for the occasion? We’ll tell. Overwhelmed by a need for planning and process? We’ll help you see the forest from the trees. We’ve got you.

Meg Niman
When I tell people I play double bass, they often ask, “Do you drive a minivan or an SUV?”
I reply: “No, bass players drive hatchbacks. Honda Civics, VW Golfs, Subaru Outbacks. We’re practical people. A real bassist drives the smallest car you can park closest to the gig door.” (Currently drive a manual 6-speed Volvo C30. I love it.)
As a consultant, I am similarly pragmatic. I look beyond the obvious for what actually makes sense. When we work together, I assess what you have, discuss where you want to go, and find you a quick and simple path to get there. I work really well with companies who have proven that their idea works, but who need process, rigor, and the expertise of a seasoned professional to take their experience to the next level.
I have a BA from Wellesley College in Cognitive Science, I previously taught elementary school as a Teach For America corps member and, for the past 18 years, I have worked in tech—for publicly-traded companies, small startups, and companies in between. I also took 2 separate year-long, self-funded sabbaticals because I have a creative and adventurous spirit. I’m a night owl, public speaker, former van lifer, and current rural resident where a horse, donkey, and rows of corn are my neighbors in central PA.
